Practical training abroad within the specialty is an integral part of educational scheme for RBIM students studying on the joint programmes. Annually prospective managers in hospitality and tourism industry undergo three-month winter practical training in the best 4-5* hotels of Tirol and Salzburg ski resorts (Austria). Each student has a personal contract with the hotel. And with the purpose of undertaking summer practical training, students make their way to Greece, to 4-5* club hotels of Crete. Prior to the trip the students receive training on the basis of specialized facilities of the Institute by the leading teachers within the hospitality industry of Russia and Europe.
In 2010, our students have undertaken practical training in the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the first time. And in 2011, we have opened some new destinations for practical training. The students and teachers of Higher School of Service and Tourism have been undergoing an internship in China for three months. The aim of this experience lied in the expert assistance in opening a European restaurant in the very centre of Zhuzhou city and creation of a programme for training specialists in the sphere of restaurant business on its base.
And Design students have undertaken an internship in Great Britain. The programme included the English Language and Art and Design Course. This internship is developed specially for our students as one of the courses of Glyndŵr University Summer School.
Practical training in the USA has also become one more opportunity to obtain professional experience.
