According to the expert forecasts, a boom is expected in Russian and global hotel industry in the coming years. The market of travel and hospitality industry is beyond the crises. International hotel chains seek for new opportunities to promote Russia. Severe shortage of professional employees is the real challenge for hoteliers.     

The best specialists in hospitality industry get education in Europe. And RBIM provides its students with a unique opportunity to get prestigious education right here, in Chelyabinsk. RBIM has 10 years’ experience of training would-be managers in the sphere of restaurant and hotel business, working in line with the programmes developed in collaboration with Salzburg Tourism Schools (Austria) and the University of Wales (UK).



Qualification of a top-manager is a combination of general managerial competence and having an insider's knowledge of specific character of the chosen speciality. RBIM students acquire managerial skills within the programme validated by the University of Wales. In the process of project work they learn and apply to practice “The gold standard of service”. While carrying out project tasks, they learn how to conduct marketing researches, design and implement the system of F&B management in organisation. And the fourth-year students develop business projects of their own restaurants or hotels.

The students are immersed in the sphere of professional activities right from the first days of study thanks to unique facilities and resources of the institute. RBIM students are trained to become professionals in the sphere of service; they study beverage management and culinary art within the Austrian educational programme and attend master-classes given by foreign professors. And language training (English and German) gives them opportunities to undertake practical training abroad – in Austria, Greece, in the Netherlands – and to build a career on the international level.

Upon completion of the 3rd year of study, the students get a Diploma of Salzburg Tourism Schools (Austria) and they are considered for direct entry to Glyndŵr University in order to spend the final year of studies and get a Bachelor's degree there, or apply to Glyndŵr University for MSc programmes on special terms having completed the Bachelor's degree course in RBIM.

And now RBIM students have got one more unique opportunity. In 2011, RBIM students and graduates approved themselves during the four-month practical training in Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik Black Sea, which lead to execution of a cooperation agreement in March, 2013. In accordance to the agreement, joint programmes of training highly-qualified personnel for all the departments and services of Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik Black Sea and the entire international Kempinski chain. And this opens new horizons:

  • Getting familiar with the standards and philosophy of Kempinski hotel chain;
  • Master-classes of experts and representatives of the hotel group senior management;
  • Practical training along professional trajectory (in different departments and divisions) in Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik Black Sea 5*;
  • Participation in project activities carried out specially for Kempinski;
  • Employment in the hotels of Kempinski chain in Russia and 32 more countries in the world;
  • Letters of recommendation that will open the doors to the world of international hotel chains.

Upon graduation, the students will have sound resumes in their hands, as well as recommendatory letters from top-managers of the leading European and Russian hospitality enterprises, which could excite envy of many professionals in this sphere. This will let them apply for respectable startup vacancies in the best hotels and restaurants in the world, and in the measurable future, they will be able to run a café, restaurant or become consultancy experts, coaches in the sphere of hospitality, division managers in international hotels.

A part from that, student life is bright in RBIM. If the students are fascinated with dancing, singing or playing in a team belonging to the Club of the Funny and Inventive, etc., they will have a chance to develop their talents in RBIM creative teams and performance groups.
